2 BIG Pumpkin Presentations

After years of wanting to attend, I finally got to go to the
Country Living Fair 2017 near Atlanta, Georgia.
Since it was held near the end of October, there were many
beautiful and amazing Fall decorations everywhere.

The two BIG pumpkin presentations were in the main area
of the fair. One was a huge pumpkin pile-up.
The bales of hay around the pumpkin pile up are a good place to sit and rest after shopping.
Also it is a good place to arrange to meet your friends back there at a certain time.

I tried to peek and see how this pile up is accomplished. It looks like bales of hay
are the base for the pumpkins.

Four years ago after I saw a picture of the
Country Living Fair's pumpkin pile, I decided to
try to make a mini version on my porch.

Pumpkin Pile Up.

If you notice in the first picture in this post, there is a
small tent to the side of the big pumpkin pile up.

Under the tent is a humongous orange pumpkin.
It weighs several hundred pounds.

The pumpkin artist, Gus "Squashcarver" Smithisler,
carved a great design on the front of the pumpkin
in front of an audience on the first day of the fair.

There is so much detail in the carving...can you see on
the crate the rooster is standing on it says "Country
Living Fair"?

There was so much eye candy at the fair!
I am breaking the photos I took to share with you into
categories because it is too much for one blog post.
